Mediation Awareness. Marnie Huff spearheaded formation of the Coalition for Mediation Awareness in Tennessee ("CMAT") while serving as Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section. CMAT sponsored events in 2006 and 2007, and celebrated Mediation Month with events across Tennessee in October 2008. CMAT is a state-wide network of non-profits and other organizations dedicated to educating the public about dispute resolution. It enjoys the support of a number of Tennessee mediators, arbitrators, and other ADR professionals.
Recognition from Nashville Bar Association. Ms. Huff received a President’s Award at the Nashville Bar Association annual meeting in December 2007, for her leadership as Chair of a Special Task Force on Attorney Health & Wellness. In 2008, she chaired the new NBA Committee on Attorney Health and Wellness, formed as a result of the Task Force's work.
